What do skin care and weight loss have in common?
They both require consistency! One workout session will NOT get you the body you want and neither will one facial get you the clear healthy skin you want. Reaching and maintaining your goal weight will require some lifestyle changes. You will need to follow a healthy diet and exercise routine. And in order to stay on track and keep making progress, you’ll also need to make adjustments to your routines.
I’ve always educated my clients that clear, healthy, radiant skin is the perfect canvas – with and without makeup. To reach your flawless skin goals you need an effective skin care regimen specific to your skin type and skin condition. There is no one size fits all when it comes to skin care. What works for one person, probably won’t work for the next. And we won’t even get into the way changes in the weather and seasons can affect your skin and it’s needs.
Adding facials to your skin care regimen is like working with a Personal Trainer to help you with your weight loss and health goals. Your Personal Trainer will work with you a few times a week and give you a meal plan that works for you. When it comes to skin care, as your Licensed Esthetician I’ll do the heavy lifting with you during your in office treatments, create a treatment plan for your future services, and recommend a suitable home care regimen to help you reach your goals.
If you are easily reaching all of your fitness goals, or you already have the body you want, you probably don’t need a Personal Trainer. BUT, if you are falling off of equipment and limping around because you’re using improper form, there is a better way! If you’re into the Annalise Keating struggle walk then stomp on! No judgment. If not, the guidance of a knowledgeable Personal Trainer will get you on the right path. Trust me, I know!
Similarly, if you have a solid skin care regimen for each season, and have no complaints about your skin, ENJOY! Because everybody ain’t able. BUT, if you are battling tight flaky skin, hyperpigmentation/dark spots, acne, deep wrinkles, etc. I can help you achieve the flawless skin you want and deserve.
Oh, and you know when you get to that point during your fitness journey where you’ve taken your calories down to drinking water and eating air sandwiches, and you’re working out 3 hours a day but STILL. NOT. LOSING. WEIGHT?!? (true story) That’s called a plateau. I’m also properly trained to make the necessary changes to your regimen and treatments during your journey so your skin won’t plateau and stop responding when it gets used to what we’re doing – we’ll keep it guessing and progressing.
Now, here’s the real tea: unlike your body, you can’t hide your face in all black or loose fitting clothes. You only have one face and you wear it publicly every day. It’s worth the investment to get the skin you want.
Think of me as your Personal Skin Care Trainer…or your Flawless Skin Coach. Just know, I’m here to help you. If summer bodies are made in the winter, then so is healthy radiant summer skin!

P.S. If you DO have flawless skin and a perfect regimen for every season, a facial is an amazing time to express self love, schedule nap, or get a little time away from life’s responsibilities.
